Maniguin, a small Island south of Boracay rises like a little Atoll out of the water. A lighthouse is erected on the island, warning big ship during darkness. Fast dive boats only make the trip from Boracay to Maniguin, and it takes around 2-3 hours to get there. Due to the length of the journey it is always done as a day trip (diving safari program), with BBQs on the beach. The reef extends all around the island, and diving is excellent with visibility often around 30-40m / 100-130ft, an attraction in itself. Diving in Maniguin is certainly world class. The surface conditions are normally calm, and current rather moderate.  There is good size cave that houses a few resident sharks. Impressive wall, shoals of surgeon fish, midnight snappers, jacks, and occasionally eagle rays.
