Three courses, one beautiful skill. Certify in a single day with Basic Freediver, earn your full PADI Freediver certification to 16m, then take it deeper with Advanced Freediver to 24m — taught in small groups, in English or French, with eLearning and all equipment included. Calm, never rushed.
A freediving certification isn't about holding your breath harder — it's about learning to relax deeper. Whether you have a single day or a long weekend, you'll master breathing and relaxation, equalization, finning technique and strict buddy-system safety — then, from the Freediver course up, put it all together on the line in Boracay's calm, clear water.
Both certifications are lifetime PADI Freediver qualifications, recognised worldwide. And you'll be in good hands: we partner with Freediving Planet in Moalboal, whose Instructor Trainer JP — a world-champion static breath-holder — trains freediving instructors here at New Wave Divers.

Only in Boracay for a day? Basic Freediver certifies you in one. Got 2–3 days? The PADI Freediver course takes you to 16 metres — and when that feels like home, Advanced Freediver takes you to 24. Every price includes eLearning, equipment and your lifetime PADI certification.

All prices include your PADI eLearning, all freediving equipment and the certification fee. Basic Freediver and Freediver include DAN dive insurance for the full course duration. Both courses follow the same calm rhythm — theory at your own pace, technique in confined water, then the real thing on the line. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is pushed.
Complete your PADI Freediver eLearning at your own pace — the physiology of the breath, safety and technique, before you ever get wet.
Practise breathing, static and dynamic apnea in calm, shallow water until a long, comfortable breath-hold feels natural.
Descend the line with free immersion and constant weight — equalizing gently, building depth one relaxed dive at a time.

Take a single relaxed session first — in the pool or the ocean, with a coach beside you the whole time. If you love it, the fee credits toward your Freediver course.

If you've never been certified, start with the PADI Freediver course — no prior certification is needed, just comfort in the water. Only in Boracay for a day? The Basic Freediver course certifies you in one, focused on static and dynamic apnea, and everything credits toward the full Freediver. Or dip a toe first with a Discover Freediving session — its fee credits toward the course too.
A freediving certification — PADI Freediver or an equivalent rating from another agency. If you certified elsewhere, bring your card and we'll take it from there.
Basic Freediver takes a single day. Freediver and Advanced Freediver each take around 2–3 days, depending on conditions and your own pace. Completing your eLearning before you arrive means more time in the water and less in the classroom.
The Basic Freediver course stays in confined water — it's all about the breath, not depth. The Freediver course qualifies you to 16 metres and Advanced Freediver to 24 — but those are maximums, not targets. Depth comes gradually and only ever within your comfort zone. Most students are amazed how natural it feels when relaxation comes first.
Everything you need: your PADI eLearning, all freediving equipment (low-volume mask, snorkel, long fins, wetsuit, weights) and the certification fee. Basic Freediver and Freediver also include DAN dive insurance for the full course duration. DAN insurance is not included in the Advanced Freediver course but can be added as a daily package. The prices shown already include our 10% online and cash-payment discount.
Not at all — that's exactly what the course teaches. With guided breathing and relaxation, most beginners reach comfortable breath-holds of well over a minute during the course. It's far more about calm than lung size.
Yes, with proper training — which is the whole point of certifying. You'll learn strict buddy-system protocols and rescue skills, and we never freedive alone. Every session is supervised, structured and progresses entirely at your pace.
Yes. PADI Freediver certifications are recognised at freediving and dive centres worldwide — and they never expire.
