Laguna

Laguna is on Boracay's east side and is one of our most-logged sites. Calm water, striking coral formations and visibility often around 20 m make it a genuinely picturesque dive, and the 9–32 m range means you can shape the profile to the group — shallow and long, or deep and structured.

Sea turtles top our logs at Laguna, with green turtles alongside them, and the site produces a strong all-round mix: nudibranchs, pufferfish, batfish, snapper, moray eels, cuttlefish, octopus, lionfish, boxfish and scorpionfish are all recorded here.

Like Tambisaan, Laguna comes into its own when the monsoon reverses and the west coast gets the weather — the east side stays sheltered, so these are the reefs we dive through the low season. The depth available takes Laguna past standard Open Water limits at its deepest, so it suits Advanced Open Water and Deep Diver divers who want to use the full range, though the shallower reef is comfortable for any certified diver.
