The dive
Diving Channel Drift
Channel Drift runs through the channel south of Boracay, and it is the most dynamic dive we offer. You drop in, the current takes you, and you cover ground along vibrant coral reef at 15–32 m without finning — the dive does the work, and your job is buoyancy and staying with the group.
The reefs through the channel are alive with fish holding against the flow: trevally and snapper in the current, soft corals covering the structure. Drift diving changes what you see — you cover far more reef than on a static dive, and encounters arrive without warning.
Currents are the whole point here, so Channel Drift is for Advanced Open Water divers and above who are comfortable being moved. Depth to 32 m also makes it a sound Deep Diver dive. Site briefings matter more than usual — listen to the entry and pick-up plan.
