Most divers tick these off over years. The Deep Diver course at New Wave takes you to all four of Boracay's greatest dive sites in a single program — the Tribird plane and Camia II shipwrecks, the Punta Bunga drop-off and the world-famous Yapak wall — going deeper each dive to a maximum of 40m. It's the best-value way to see the very best of Boracay underwater, and earn a world-recognised specialty while you do it.
Dive below 18 metres / 60 feet and the rules change — colours fade, no-decompression limits shrink and your gas disappears faster. The PADI Deep Diver Specialty gives you the planning, judgement and confidence to explore that world safely, all the way to a maximum depth of 40m / 130ft.
During the course you'll learn how to plan deep dives, manage your gas supply, and identify and manage nitrogen narcosis. You'll practise buddy-contact procedures, safety considerations and the fine buoyancy control that depth demands — then put it all to work on Boracay's deep walls.
If you're 15 or older and hold a PADI Adventure Diver certification (or qualifying cert), you can enrol. Do the theory online before you arrive, then spend your time where it matters — going deep on Boracay's walls with your instructor.
Complete the independent study online, whenever and wherever suits you. Learn how to plan deep dives, manage your gas supply, and recognise and manage narcosis — plus the safety considerations of diving below 18 metres. Work at your own pace on any device, and message your instructor any time you have a question.
Across four dives over at least two days you'll visit Boracay's four best sites — the Tribird and Camia II wrecks, the Punta Bunga drop-off and the Yapak wall — building depth progressively to 40m. Through hands-on exercises you'll discover how deep dives affect colour, physical objects and your own brain.
This is the big one. Most divers tick these sites off over years — the Deep Diver course takes you to all four of Boracay's greatest dive sites in a single program: two wrecks, a drop-off and the legendary Yapak wall, going deeper each dive to a maximum of 40m.
A sunken aircraft broken open on the seabed and bright with reef life. Your first dive to 30 metres, on one of Boracay's most-loved wrecks.
Explore Tribird on the dive map 02A 30-metre cargo ship sunk as an artificial reef — upright, atmospheric and swarming with life. A proper shipwreck to build your confidence at depth.
Explore Camia II on the dive map 03A sheer reef wall that falls from 30 toward 40 metres into the blue — where you practise gas planning and feel exactly how depth and narcosis change the dive.
Explore Punta Bunga on the dive map 04Boracay's legendary wall, dropping into open water and swept by schools of jacks and trevally. Your deepest dive — a planned descent to a maximum of 40m, the climax of the course.
Explore Yapak on the dive mapFour bucket-list sites, one course. You dive them in order of depth — the Tribird and Camia II wrecks at 30m, then the Punta Bunga drop and the Yapak wall to a maximum of 40m. Every dive is planned, briefed and led by your instructor, with clear limits, a safety stop and a measured ascent.

Each PADI Specialty you finish gets you one step closer to elite Master Scuba Diver. These three pair perfectly with deep diving — and your deep adventure dive may even credit toward your Advanced.
Breathe nitrox to extend your no-decompression limits — so you can spend longer down on the wall before your bottom time runs out.
