Ask around and you'll hear it again and again: Rescue Diver is the course divers love most. It's demanding, rewarding and genuinely fun — you'll learn to spot small problems before they grow, look out for your buddies, and dive with a calm, switched-on confidence that stays with you on every dive after.
This package pairs Emergency First Response® (EFR) primary & secondary care with the PADI® Rescue Diver course. EFR teaches you what to do in the critical moments before help arrives — CPR, first aid, bandaging and splinting — and it's the prerequisite for Rescue, so we've bundled them together at a better price.
Rescue Diver then changes how you dive. You'll learn to identify and fix minor issues before they become big problems, manage real scenarios, and look after yourself and your buddies. It's challenging, hugely rewarding, and a key step toward Divemaster and going pro.
Already EFR, Red Cross or AHA certified (within 24 months)? You can take the Rescue course on its own — just pick your package below.
Both courses follow the same proven path — flexible PADI eLearning you complete at your own pace, then hands-on skill practice with your instructor. Performance-based, so you practise each skill until you're confident before moving on.
Watch videos of first-aid techniques and learn what steps to take in an emergency. Study online or offline, on a computer or your phone, at your own pace — and message your instructor any time you have a question.
Learn eight essential skills for helping others. Get hands-on practice giving CPR on a special manikin, master bandaging and splinting, and apply it all in a role-playing scenario — no prior experience needed.
Complete the knowledge development whenever and wherever it suits you — online or offline, on any device. You'll learn to think like a rescue diver: how to anticipate, recognise and respond to problems in the water.
The water sessions are genuinely fun. You'll handle real scenarios — a leg cramp, a tired diver, a panicked diver, a missing buddy — by role-playing with other students and your instructor until your responses feel natural.
EFR is the prerequisite for Rescue, so most divers take both together and save. Already hold a current EFR, Red Cross or AHA CPR certification? Take Rescue on its own. Want just the first-aid training? EFR stands alone too.
Not sure which to pick? Tell us your dive history and any current first-aid certification — our booking manager will confirm exactly what you need before you pay a peso.

Rescue Diver is a turning point. It's the last step before Divemaster and the Master Scuba Diver rating — the most respected non-professional level in recreational diving. Here's where divers go next.
Turn your diving into a career. Rescue Diver is the prerequisite — the Divemaster course is your first professional rating and the doorway to working in the dive industry.
