About The Dive: Today’s dive at Crocodile Island was nothing short of magical. The reef greeted us with its usual explosion of colors — a vibrant garden of hard and soft corals, busy reef fish, and hidden macro critters. But the true highlight? A massive green sea turtle, easily over a meter long, gliding gracefully just a few meters away from us.

It paused briefly near a coral head as if posing for photos, unbothered by our presence. Watching such a majestic creature up close in its natural habitat was a humbling experience — a powerful reminder of why we dive.

Dive Site Name: Laguna

Dive Depth: 17 meters

About The Dive: Our group — a mix of freedivers, scuba divers, and snorkelers — explored the vibrant underwater world of Laguna’s reef, which was alive with colorful reef fish, healthy coral formations, and the surprise appearance of a banded sea snake weaving gracefully through the reef.

We enjoyed calm conditions and excellent visibility, making it easy to take in the reef’s stunning details. Schools of damselfish, parrotfish, and sergeant majors danced around us as we glided through the water. Some of us practiced duck dives and equalization techniques while others simply relaxed, taking in the natural beauty around us.

Then, during our safety stop, something magical happened — a majestic sea turtle appeared, slowly gliding by as if to check us out. It moved effortlessly, completely at peace, and gave us an unforgettable close encounter. Moments like this remind us why we dive — to connect with the ocean and witness nature at its best.
